The Bronze Medallion is a nationally recognised qualification and teaches a range of activities in order to be able to perform all the basic requirements of a surf lifesaver:

• OHS
• Beach types, wave patterns and currents
• Resuscitation and first aid
• Communication & radio techniques
• Patrolling methods

Course length is roughly 7 weeks (Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings)

Arrive by 6:25 to enable a prompt start

Minimum 15 years (on the date of the final assessment)

• You must be a financial member of the club and pay the course fee ($180)
• Complete a 400m flat water swim in less than 9 minutes (signed off by an authorised club person)
